Our Approach
At this point, there is not yet a support movement for making the dream of a contiguous Carmel River Trail into a reality. Send an email to help build a list of supporters to get things going.
Our Story
A Carmel River Trail is already being built, albeit slowly, even without organized public support.
Garland Ranch provides several miles of trails along Carmel River open to hikers and horses. Down at Hwy 1, Palo Corona is now open to hikers and connects to the South Bank Trail to get as far as Quail Meadows.
It is mostly between these 2 areas that work remains to be done.
Meet the Team
Well, it’s just me, Ross, for now. I have owned a home fronting Carmel River since 2000 and would love to grant an easement for a trail passing by.

Ross
Founder & Trail Advocate
I have been involved in advocacy for urban trails for almost 20 years as a cyclist and hiker/backpacker.
Since coming to the Carmel area, I have seen the potential for establishing a trail. I have felt urgency to get something started before houses are built to block the connectivity along the river. So, I am starting this website to share the possibility and, hopefully, find allies in this effort.
